2017 Goodwood Festival of Speed Highlights!

2017 Goodwood Festival of Speed is sadly over. This year was the first year that I attended all four of the days, and I have to admit there was not one dull moment! So I thought I would put together a post all about my highlights from the show for those of you interested! Lets get into it…

The first thing that I think of when thinking about the weekend was the crazy Bugatti stand. Before this event I hadn’t seen 1 Chiron (I had been close a number of times, which is the most frustrating thing) so stumble across two within 10ft of each other was amazing.

The next thing that really stands out to me was the Mercedes Benz hospitality. We were lucky enough to be invited over for Saturday and Sunday which included having an incredible view of the hillclimb, out of this world food (I think I ate enough for everyone!) and the once in a lifetime opportunity to meet Nico Rosberg and Valtteri Bottas and listen to interviews with a question and answer session at the end.

It is safe to say as a huge Formula One fan this experience was absolutely one I will never forget and I am hugely grateful to have been invited to the hospitality.

So now moving on to the main part of the show…the supercars! Presented by Michelin there was the supercar paddock, this was the place to see all the cars static and have a good walk around them! Its safe to say they pulled it out of the bag with the supercars this year, check out some the the line up below..

However as we all know Festival of Speed isn’t just a static car show, supercars get to test their limits up the speedy hillclimb to see which one truly is the quickest..

The fastest car at this years event was the BAC Mono with incredibly talented driver Oliver Webb, however I didn’t seem to get a good enough photo of the car (probably because he was going to quick), however you can check out his Instagram if you wish to see the awesome car as he has posted many pictures of it.

So there we have it, it was incredibly tough for me to narrow down the highlights of this years event! However there is still a few more blog posts to come about it including Supercar Hunting in the Car Parks and Seeing Crazy Supercars Drift at Festival of Speed so make sure you’re following my Instagram: www.instagram/chloxbaldwin.com to keep up to date with when these posts will be up! Also feel free to send me a message there of any requests, feedback or questions you may have!
