It’s been four years since the i8 coupe was released but finally, it looks like the BMW i8 Spyder is soon to be among us. There’s no official news just yet but, you can see it has been spotted below at the Nurburgring. Despite BMW’s best efforts to camouflage the new car, there is no hiding that fabric roof.
The i8 Spyder is more than likely going to feature the same hybrid setup as the hardtop. In case you forgot, that means the i8 Spyder will have a 1.5-litre turbocharged three-cylinder coupled to an electric motor. Combined output stands at 357bhp which results in a 0-62mph time of 4.4 seconds.
