Dunlop Endurance Championship and The Dunlop GT & Production Championship (Britcar)

Britcar want to bring endurance racing back to the UK. Teams wanted longer races and great grids so with this is in mind they created the Dunlop Endurance Championship.

The 2016 season consists of 8 weekends of 8 races, with 7 counting towards the overall Championship. Race lengths range from 2 to 4 hours, hosted at Britain’s finest circuits, together with a non-Championship 4-hour race at Spa Francorchamps.

Cars are categorised in one of five classes; our new system of classification provides a more complete vehicle performance indicator, ensuring that drivers are grouped against other cars of a similar lap time and not just similar engine power. To make the racing closer, success penalties are added to pit stops times at the following Championship round.

All races require drivers to make at least one pitstop; Dunlop continue their long-term relationship with Britcar and they will be the on-site mandatory tyre supplier for the season. All rounds are televised by SKY & Motors TV.
