We’ve seen some spectacular saves over the years. One of my personal favourites this year was the R8 drift at the Le Mans 24 Hour. Now, this at brands hatch in mk5 golf might have just taken the 2017 crown.
In an incident that looks more like a diesel spill than a racing mishap, Kenan Dole’s Golf lost traction, he reacted quickly and based on the onboard footage, it didn’t even look like he could have done anything to stop the ensuing tank slapper.
In total, the car whipped left and right 7 times before going for a reverse entry into Druids. The whole fiasco ended in a shunt with the car in third place. All in all, he only lost 4 places.
