Thanks to years of campaigning, the government has changed legislation so from Monday, motorsports will legally be allowed to take place on streets across England. This means the possibility of Formula 1 coming to London is looking more promising than ever.
Transport Minister Andrew Jones said an F1 race “with the backdrop of London” would be “spectacular”. A Monaco style F1 race in London would be worth over £100 million to a post-brexit economy. It’s not just national events like F1 though. The new rules mean that smaller scale races would be allowed to take place (with the correct permissions of course) up and down the country.
